Lavender & Chamomile Natural Candle
Our Lavender & Chamomile natural candles are lovingly handmade in small batches using a soya wax from a sustainable source and the only the finest essential oils. You will enjoy an approximate burn time of 50 hours from our 200g large votive, whilst our 60g classic votive has an approximate burn time of 12 hours.
The unique scent of Lavender is both sweet and refreshing, and Lavender essential oil is used in aromatherapy to promote calm and well-being. Chamomile has a long history as a calming herb, with inherent properties for soothing a variety of maladies, and calming a restless spirit.
Lavender use dates back to the time of the ancient Egyptians, who employed the herb in both cosmetics and embalming. The herb was popular in the 16th century in the preparation of a wide variety of dishes, and was a particular favourite of Queen Elizabeth I.
Chamomile is known as 'the plants' physician' because it is said that ailing garden plants will recover when it is planted next to them. Called maythen by the Anglo-Saxons, it was one of the nine sacred herbs given to the world by the Norse god Woden.
